5.2 Ethernet Management Interface Protocols
The user PC facilitates access to Ethernet‐based remote monitor and control (M&C) of the
CDM‐800throughtwoseparately‐operatedprotocols:
• Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). This requires a user‐supplied Network
Management System (NMS) and a use r‐supplied Management Information Base (MIB) File
Browser.
• The CDM‐80

ver (HTTP) Interface. This requires a compatible user‐supplied Web
browsersuchasInternetExplorer.
5.2.1 Ethernet Management Interface Access
Access to the CDM‐800 Ethernet Management Interface requires the user to specify the unit
ManagementIPAddress.Viauseofaterminalemulatorconnectedtotherearpanel9‐pinserial
‘CONSOLE’port,thisaddressmaybeobtainedfromtheCDM‐800SerialInterfaceuponpower‐
upoftheunit.Asshown,anumbe
