5. If the central database is:
• a Microsoft SQL Server database, then share the
C:/Skyline DataMiner/System Cache/Offload
folder using these specifications:
The name of the share must be
Offload.
The share must be freely accessible because no user credentials are passed in the
query that retrieves the data. Give
write permission to everyone.
The central database must be able to resolve the name of the NetVue.

6. In the
C:/Skyline DataMiner/Db.xml file, configure the central database settings.
NOTE: The section of the Db.xml file that contains the central database settings is
synchronized throughout the NetVue Cluster during the automatic file synchronization
procedure. In most cases, the procedure is run at midnight once every 24 hours. If you
have modified these settings and you want to synchronize the files immediately, then
you can force a synchronization of the
db.xml
file. Go to
System Display ‣ Admin Tools
‣ Force Synchronization ‣ File
.
7. In System Display, configure the central database settings.
a. Choose
Admin ‣ Database.
b. In the
Database Settings section, click the Central Database tab.
c. Select the
Active check box.
d. Specify the database properties.
e. Click
Apply.

The alarm table is the sequential list of Alarms generated by the NetVue Cluster.
