Test Control
The test controls are intended for MetaCarrier debug operations only
and
should not
be used unless instructed by Comtech EF Data Technical Support.
Unintended operation or interference could result if these controls are used.
• FrequencyOffset – Provides abilitytooffset theMetaCarrierfromthecenterfrequency of
thecarrier.
• PowerRatio–ProvidestheabilitytomodifythepowerleveloftheMetaCarrier.
• TestMode–Thefollowingtestmodesmustbeenteredfromanormaloperatingcondition,
in which the MCED‐100 is transmitti
ng a MetaCarrier under a carrier from an external
modulator.
Usethedrop‐downmenutoselectthisoperatingmodeasfollows:
o Normal Mode – This mode clears any test modes, and places the unit back into an
operationalstate.
o TxCW–Th
istestmodeforcestr ansmissionofapureMetaCarrier(u nm odulated).
o Tx Alt 1/0 – Use this mode to check the carrier suppression of the external modulator.
This test mode forces transmission of a MetaCarrier modulated with an alternating
